Watercolors (Irchel II)

today the sun shone brightly and warmed up the air - not great, but enough to let me sit outside and sketch these two pieces.

schminke watercolors

Hahnemühle 200gr, 8 x 10.5 cm, view from the Bürkliplatz down the lake of zurich on to the red glowing alps

Bharat handmade paper, 17 x 13 cm, view through the bushes in the irchel park onto the little lake and people shining in the evening sun

since it is much too cold, i had to start drawing on my way to the university

Irchel (I)

everyday (almost) i have this view - down the stairs from the university through this very nice park

went to the zoological museum yesterday - due to freaking cold weather and early sunsets the "urban" part has to rest a little

Bocchetta di Spluga, 2153 meters above sea level - resting after a sweaty ascent

Cavergno - just a quick sketch before the bus

Fusio - at the end of the six days - with a extra-fat marker

and as a contrast with a extra thin pencil

i like it when people sleep - they don't move (almost)

Jonas & Luisa, two children on the goat alp Nimi

trying to catch the structures of the snow fields and stones on 2000 meters above sea level

Alpe Nimi - an old stone building in the mountains - still used by both hikers and goat shepherds
